Client Agreement Terms

Effective 1/1/06

Payment is always due at the time of service.   Please make a check for the correct amount or have a valid credit card on file.

Client’s right to cancellation; We require at  least 24 hours notice if you must cancel or change your cleaning appointment. Leaving a message after our office closes, the night before the service is not enough notice for us to reschedule work for the Cleaning Techs assigned to your home. We will assess a $50.00 late cancel fee, which goes directly to the Cleaning Techs, if you cancel more than one appointment per year without 24 hour’s notice. This policy is designed to protect the Cleaning Techs’ income.

Cancellation of service; Client agrees to notify Sparkle Queen Cleaning Service, Inc. of cancellation of ongoing service one week prior to scheduled cleaning. Notice can be made through phone or e-mail.

Lock Out or No show; If a client is not available to allow access and does not call to inform Sparkle Queen 24 hours prior, a lock-out fee of $50.00 will be charged.

Clean Guarantee; If client is dissatisfied with service, Sparkle Queen should be notified as soon as possible. Sparkle Queen will return to re-clean only the areas that were disputed and promised in the initial agreement as soon as there is a reasonable opening.

Arrival times; If you will wait for Sparkle Queen, there will be a 2 hour window for arrival. Teams will make every effort to arrive at properties promptly, client realizes factors such as added services, traffic and lockouts affect arrival times.

Independent hiring; The client agrees not to hire or attempt to hire present or former employees of Sparkle Queen, for the term of this agreement and for a further period of 6 months after the termination of this agreement.  If you would like to hire a Sparkle Queen staff member, there will be a $2500.00 referral fee paid to Sparkle Queen.

Price stability; We reserve the right to issue rate increases at any time. You will be notified in writing when this occurs. You can expect a rate increase every 12 to 18 months. Our prices are very competitive and we survey our competitors regularly. As the cost of doing business increases we must remain competitive in order to continue to provide you with the quality of staff you desire.

As the needs or conditions of you home changes you may receive a price increase. This is due to the factors in your home changing, not economics. Prices for general maintenance cleaning are guaranteed for the duration of regular service up to 6 months. If a client discontinues service and reinstates service after a period of six months the original price is not guaranteed.

Sparkle Queen does not clean blood or other bodily fluids, fire or water damage or mold. We are not trained in these areas and do not have the appropriate equipment.

Wax removal- We do not scrape wax from surfaces due to the liability of scratching surfaces.

Pets;  It is extremely important that you secure any pets that may be a threat to our Cleaning Techs. Some pets are not friendly to strangers when the homeowner is not at home. We don’t clean up after pets that have been sick or have had “accidents” in the house. Please take care of these messes before the cleaning Techs arrive.

Breakage or Damage; Although we are careful, sometimes things get broken. Please read & understand the following guidelines regarding breakage & remunerations.

Breakage responsibility…

We do not take responsibility for “booby traps” such as, pictures not secured properly in the wall (hanging on a straight pin or stripped out nail), knick-knacks or decorations that are propped up and not securely resting on a flat surface, heavy shelves or mirrors that are not hung securely on the wall, etc. these are accidents just waiting to happen! You may know to be extra careful in order to keep them from falling but we may not know.

Sparkle Queen requests that you remove any knick-knacks or decorative figurine valued over $100 per item from the area we will be cleaning. If the items valued over $100 per piece cannot be removed to a “safer” place, we prefer that you dust that area yourself. We will pay a maximum of $100 toward replacement or repair per incident of any item/items damaged or broken.

Sparkle Queen reserves the right to have any damaged item repaired by a professional. Art Restorer, rather than fully replace the item. If there is devaluation, reimbursement of the difference will be considered up to the $100 maximum per incident.

You can be reimbursed in cash up to $20 to replace a broken item without value verification (such as soap dishes, candle holders, glassware, etc.). We must have the opportunity to inspect and verify the value of any item where replacement cost if over $20. If you wish to be reimbursed do not replace the item without prior authorization from administrative personnel of Sparkle Queen. Save all broken pieces and call our office within 48 hours of the breakage to arrange to have the broken item picked up for value verification. We will only pay the difference if you replace an item at higher cost than our sources can produce. We use internet, Ebay, and other sources to replace antique or hard to find items.

 

Valuables; Please put cash, valuable jewelry, important papers, credit cards and checkbooks away.  We cannot be responsible for missing cash.

Employees; Sparkle Queen employees are screened and insured to ensure the safety and security of your property and personal property. All employees are trained by senior employees or management.

Same Cleaning Team; Request of a specific team or individual to clean on a regular basis will be granted according to availability.  However due to changes in employment and scheduling we can not guarantee a specific team or individual.

Supplies; Sparkle Queen will provide all necessary chemicals and tools to complete a thorough cleaning. All of our supplies are safe and tested on delicate surfaces and are eco-friendly. If you would like specific chemicals used  you will be liable for any damage.  We do not provide furniture polish or use any chlorine bleach.

Agreement and acceptance of terms; By agreeing to have service with Sparkle Queen Cleaning Service, client agrees to and accepts these terms and limitations.
